The cubical new museum building is situated on the riverside of the Danube. A volume has been cut out of this massive form to create a sheltered exterior space which serves as entrance, urban area, meeting place and platform for sculpture exhibitions. Its outside shell is completely made of glass but semitransparent due to the serigraphy treatment. This makes it possible to perceive the structure of the building from the outside and to have a filtered view of the surroundings from the inside.
